Herning 2 July 2011: Field Robot Event 2011.

On 2 July the Field Robot Event 2011 takes place. We participate in all four tasks and finished seventh at the end of the Field Robot Event. For us this was a bit dissapointing but the weather causes some problems for us. Our Sick laser scanner get wet and this was disastrous for the row and end of the row detection. We hope the weather is better the next year so that the Eyesonic can finish a lot better.

Wageningen 15 Juni 2011: Succesful field test Eyesonic.

Today we have finished our first field test with the Eyesonic. The weather was good and we have made some nice progression. We now have an overwiev of our possibilities of the Eyesonic. And we are now busy to improve the headland turning and the weed spraying. To see some photograps of our first fieldtest look at the item 'Photo Gallery'. The coming days we will also upload a video of our first field test.

Wageningen 23 may 2011: The Eyesonic team is busy with the preparations of the Eyesonic robot.

We are on schedule with the preparations. For example we have implemented a new sensor called the Xsens on the Eyesonic robot. With this sensor we can turn more accurately on the headland then in the previous years.

Wageningen 19 may 2011: Support of the Lely group.

Today we get the news that the main sponsor of the previous years is prepared to support the Eyesonic team again in 2011. Lely, the most innovative company in agriculture of the Netherlands, will deliver financial support to ensure that various technical components can be purchased by the team. We are very grateful for this support and we hope that it will result in a good performance during the Field Robot Event 2011.
